Music for Babies

There are a lot more benefits to playing music for your baby than just lulling them to sleep (although that is an excellent reason!). Music enhances your baby’s intellectual development and social skills as well as aiding the development of speech. Music is also a wonderful – and fun- way to bond with your new addition to the family.
What better way to interact with your baby than to play along with music? Music encourages self-expression and confidence and a genuinely fun way to spend precious time with your baby.

Classical Music for Babies
There is scientific evidence that playing music to babies in the womb and in the early years helps build the neural bridges along which thoughts and information travel. There’s also the theory of the enormous benefits of classical music for babies called the “Mozart Effect”, which is credited with boosting IQ, improving health and strengthening family bonds.
Every CD collection for your new baby should include classical music and there are plenty of titles to choose from:
Symphony of Lullabies Favourites from ABC for Babies sees composer and producer, Sean O’Boyle select favourite lullabies that are performed by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
Babies Love Mozart Viva La Musica String Quartet introduces your child to the beauty of classical music with this selection of Mozart, Bach, Beethoven and other classical maestros.

A collection of orchestral music suitable for rest time, going to bed and other quiet times, Dream Children by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra is a gentle sensation of classical arrangements for baby.
