Preschool children are more aware of pitch and rhythm, their language skills grow and they can handle more complex songs and varied music; they can cope with more sophisticated movement to music. They will take pleasure in playing and exploring new sounds and instruments. The music scene for this age group is quite varied: nursery rhymes are still a popular choice; original artists (Raffi, Ronno, Don Spencer, Ian Blakeney, Greg And Steve, the Learning Station, Mike Jackson and others) provide great entertainment with educational elements and CDs for group activities (bean bags, rhythm sticks, parachutes, ribbons or balls) will provide a lot of fun and much needed movement.
